It is international Pi Day!

Pi is the irrational number 3.14159............. and it influences our lives in many wondrous ways that you may not even realise.  March the 14th is written 3/14 in American Date Nomenclature so it is celebrated internationally as Pi Day. The other option was 31st of April but yeah you can work that out.

So if you are thinking of dressing up for sports day, maybe make it Pi related ("pie" related will also be acceptable) and the Maths Faculty will be awarding prizes for the best dressed on the day.
